Clay’s experience in the motorcycle career started in 1974 when he began drag racing his Kawasaki H2 and a Z1. It was when a friend of his asked him to race at Texas Road Speedway that he caught the motorcycle bug. He raced on various different bikes for the next 30 years.
In 1977 he started working at a Kawasaki dealer then worked at various other dealerships for the next 9 years. That’s when Kawasaki Motors Corp hired him as a district manger. He then went to work Triumph Motorcycles of America as an Area Manager when the company relaunched in the US after a 10 year hiatus. Nine years later he went to work as a Ducati rep.
With such a strong background in the motorcycle industry and working for both Ducati and Truimph, Clay has been a perfect fit for the D’Moto Team.
“I’m excited to be selling my two favorite brands!”
Rick’s love for Triumph motorcycles started at age 4 when his dad built his first Triumph Bonneville. In high school he rode a 1974 Triumph that his dad had also built. Needless to say, Triumph has been in his blood his entire life. To now be the Triumph Champion at D’Moto is truly a dream come true.
